Old Butterfly

I really love butterflies, you can tell. But this one, really inspired me in a different way than the one before. It made me think about the weight we carry with us. She was standing on a little branch, as you can see, very fragile and thin. Before she landed the branch was horizontal and it looked stronger. But this tiny creature landed on it, and it changed her form completely. It changed it’s position and look.

That is what happens with us every day. We let small things upset us, and we never really stop and think that they are not so important when you look at the bigger picture. We tend to get stuck in one place physically and mentally because we do not know how to move. How to let go. How to just go with the flow. How to forgive and forget. And when you really stop and think, you can see that those are the life lessons that we must develop over the years. We get so focused on a resent pain, or the fear of the unknown. But what about the present? When do we really just enjoy? How do we know when enough is enough? Enough of pain, and unnecessary thoughts, fear… Well, the answer is really simple.

When you feel like this branch. When you feel so down, you don’t know how much further you can go. When you don’t think about the solution, but you think about the problem. When you just think about anything really, just to fill the void. You just have to remember, to simply let go. Let go of fears, let go of pain, let go of secrets, let go of hate. Let go of everything that makes you think you aren’t good enough. And how do you fill the void afterwards? Fill it with hope. Fill it with strength. Fill it with courage. Fill it with dreams. Fill it with love. And when you feel like you are filled with too much of these, then you are horizontal again. But this time you are at the top
